Much like our residents and neighborhoods, our police and fire are another hidden gem of our city. Many of the men and women who protect and serve our city know more about our city than they do the city in which they live. It’s because of this fact, that they know the people they serve. They have built personal relationships with community members, whether that be homeowners, or even the temporary residents that call SSL home. They understand the needs of our city and our neighborhoods. They work collectively to make our city better and safer.
Having my own sister and her husband work in law enforcement, I understand the commitment and courage it takes to wear a badge, and the time away from their families to serve and protect communities. The commitment far outweighs the pay. It is my honor to work closely with our first responders to make their jobs easier, and make our neighborhoods safer.
