With South Salt Lake conveniently located between the interstates, we are connected to the cities surrounding us in Salt Lake County. Residents have addressed the need for better transportation which does not require the use of our vehicles. While it is true that many Utahns commute to and from work in single occupant vehicles, many of those commuters wish that there were better alternatives.

Since COVID, many residents have had the ability to work from home, thus requiring less use of their vehicles. My husband was among those fortunate people, only having to fill up his gas tank maybe three times last year, and we have seen the benefits. Not only monetary benefits of not having to rely on our vehicles, but the major impacts it has had on our air quality.

Residents of SSL have asked for better transportation routes that include bike lanes, and to make existing bike lanes safer for them to commute.
